16hh 2010 AQHA registered palomino gelding (GOLD N BUCKS). Came from Montana, belonged to a friend of mine who's an excellent horseman, knows how to finish a helluva horse. Built right, has extensive training, can hold a 2,000 lb bull on leash like he's taking a puppy for a walk. Been ranched off of and roped off extensively. Changes leads, big stop, soft mouth, excellent flexibility and wants to be in your pocket all the time. Very cowy. Extensive time working cattle in pasture settings and turning steers as a head horse in the arena.
Packed on a lot, used for 20 mile days for weeks in the mountains; sometimes with 8,000+ ft elevation changes. Has done over 100 miles in the Beartooth Mountains, been elk hunting in Colorado. 2016-2019 he was loaned to a very high numbered team roper who hauled him all over. Knows his job on the ranch and finished on the head side. He'll heel too if you’re determined enough to try it on a 16 hand horse.
Sonny is broke to drive single, though he’d probably do just fine double as well. Soft in the face, tell him how fast you want him to go and you can just about drop the lines until you want him to do something else.

Without maintenance, he gets cold backed. With treatment, Sonny has zero issues, even with time off, beginners, hard work, light work, roping, in the ring, down the road, on the trail, bareback, double, around screaming children, barking dogs, and other general tomfoolery. WITH PROPER CARE, this is exactly the horse everyone wants around. Use him for lessons, hunting, showing, roping, driving, ranching, parades, trail riding, penning, sorting, field trails, hunter paces, whatever. Forgiving, takes a joke, patient, loves cuddles and attention. Can go all day, athletic, level-headed, eager to please, outstanding work ethic. Hauled all over, hobbles, ponies, ties, clips, bathes, and does all the other litany of things a broke horse is supposed to do. This horse is an absolute dream, likely one of the nicest horses I'll ever sit my ass on. I currently am doing ranch riding and western dressage with him as I don’t ranch or rope but cattle and hot heels are available if you want to try him.
