(Sold) Spinglake CinnamonPepper (Minnie) - $5,000
2006 14hh registered Morgan mare, broke to ride. Minnie was purchased bred by an older gentleman looking for a nice mare in 2009. Had a lovely chestnut filly. Was ridden only occasionally, but never offered to do anything naughty or dangerous. However, Minnie hasn’t been worked consistently, and therefore is rather opinionated. Though she has not offered to buck or bolt, Minnie will take a strong, confident rider to help finish her out under saddle. Loads and unloads well, stands for vet/farrier, fly spray, and while being saddled. Confirmed in foal to Flyhawk Dude for a late 2023 foal, so sells as a 2-in-1 package.
Very easy keeper. Walks quietly down the trail, crosses water, deadfall, etc. Has been taken over some pretty tough terrain and hung in there like she’d been doing it her whole life. This little mare is tough, will tackle drops and slide down on her butt like pro. Good momma, throws plenty of bone and type to her foals.
VERY opinionated, but no meanness. You always know exactly what Minnie is thinking, but she’s game for pretty much anything. Went to the Iowa Horse Fair, first time in a colosseum, first time with aluminum bleachers, crowds, etc. First time wearing a pack saddle, first time meeting the horse that ponied her. Only thing that upset her was being pulled away from her hay.
Will get dancy on the ground if alone. I can ride her out by herself, but much more acclimated to riding in a group. Thinks riding in circles around the arena is dumb, but she’ll do it.
Excellent conformation, plenty of bone and size in her little stature. Foundation bred on top, with grandsire reining champion Whippoorwill Newmoon tracing directly back to the legendary Foundation Correll stallions. Carries many of the staple Whippoorwill traits - brave, correct, charismatic, sporty, intelligent, and gritty. Dam successfully showed in driving, combining plenty of athleticism and movement in this shapely mare. Would be an excellent addition to any breeding or riding program.
Minnie has always been well cared for, and kept UTD on teeth, shots, feet, etc. Located in Bondurant, Iowa, asking $5,000.

Sound, healthy, likes people and attention. Not picky about who handles/rides her but would like to have a “person” or her own “people”. Doesn’t get anxious or squirrely under saddle. Will look at something but didn’t spook at anything, even wildlife popping out from underneath her. Smart. Comes to food, ties, bathes, etc. Gets pushy on the ground but stands for mounting. The Western Working/Foundation blood in strong in this mare, she would herd cats if they wandered into her pasture. Does an annoyingly good job herding the other horses into groups she likes and groups she doesn’t approve of.
