ADURO SNIPPET OF TIME (FLYHAWK DUDE X EPONA) - CMHA registration pending - is a black crossbred colt out of our good draft mare and our black Morgan foundation stallion. Large, correct, and balanced, this colt features plenty of bone and foot, already standing 14hh when last measured. Halter broke, leads, loads, ties, picks up feet, and can be handled all over. Friendly, brave, but has been taught good manners and respect to go with his size. Dam is 17.3hh, sire is 14.3hh. Estimating he will finish out around 16.2hh and 1400 lbs.

This is our first time with this cross, and we couldn’t be more pleased! Snip still has lots of bone to grow into, with feet bigger than some full grown horses. Short-coupled with a lovely sloped shoulder and big, deep hip. 3 balanced, steady gaits. Naturally flat-kneed with even cadence, this guy is going to be one smooth ride! Loves to play with the other foals but is never too rough, being twice their size! Snip has a small white snip on his nose and two white socks. Nice feet, kept on a regular trim cycle. Loves the farrier!

Teachable and easy to handle, Snip is friendly, comes up to you in the pasture, enjoys scratches and attention. Very people-oriented and confident. Enjoys trying to steal feed bags and chasing other horses with them. Respectful of fences, used to dogs, kids, people, farm equipment, etc. Easy keeper. Stands tied nicely and lifts all four feet. Didn’t bat an eye at weaning time, very level-headed and hard to bother. Will load in a slant or straight load trailer, with or without a ramp. Has worn a sheet when hauled in an open stock trailer, didn’t bother him one bit.

Snip is UTD on shots, Coggins, and feet, and has been branded and microchipped. Through his sire, Snip is eligible for registration as a half-Morgan through the Canadian Morgan Horse Association. Application is currently pending. Located in Mingo, Iowa. Open to offers.
