(Sold) Kaizen - $4,500
Kaizen is a 2011 mare out of DELICACY IN GOLD (Arabian x ZDPH [German Warmblood]) by COOL JUDGEMENT (AQHA). 15 hh, 1000 lbs, barefoot. Dunalino (D/nd1). Eligible for registration, DNA tests kit sent in to complete paperwork. Has been very beginner-friendly BUT learned she could push around first owner; while her ground manners have greatly improved, this mare is SMART and should not go to a first-time owner unless under trainer supervision. Broke to drive. Has quite a few trail miles but still green in the arena. WTC, stops, steers, but not fancy broke.
Bottom of pecking order, rides alone or in a group. Ties, hauls, clips, bathes. SUPER brave, fine with dogs, flags, working around other horses, cattle, farm machinery, etc. Learned to get her way with a real ugly face so just needs someone to call her bluff. No bite or kick, just bossy. Mostly needed someone who’d laugh instead of get scared. Very level headed, almost no spook - I'd call her pretty close to bombproof if I didn't hate that term! Likes people and attention. Has been ridden by beginners with supervision. Prefers them since they make her work less than I do. Goes to roping practice, fine with cattle, running horses, hot-heels dragged by an ATV, chutes banging, crowded arena. Super smooth gaits.
Excellent conformation, good bone, attentive, smart. Slightly more whoa than go. Would make an excellent beer drinking or trail horse. Pretty mover, fast learner, would also make a solid dressage, hunter, or driving prospect. Surprisingly forgiving and takes a joke well. Not dangerous but not for an inexperienced or timid horse person - very respectful of boundaries but still needs someone around to set them.
Kaizen is currently priced at $4,500 which may increase with training.
